About The Position

Metro Aviation is seeking an Operational Control Specialist (OCS) in Shreveport, Louisiana at the Metro Aviation Headquarters Operational Control Center (OCC). Requirements

Nice To Haves

• At least two (2) years of experience during the last five years in military operations as a pilot, flight navigator, or meteorologist.
• Experience in air carrier operations as a pilot, flight engineer, certified aircraft dispatcher, or meteorologist.
• Experience as an air traffic controller or a flight service specialist.
• Experience in Airplane and/or helicopter air ambulance operations as a pilot preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all flights are conducted safely and in compliance with FAA regulations.
• Monitor flight operations.
• Participate in flight coordination and dispatch.
• Assist with flight planning.
• Comply with all directives and guidance of the Metro Aviation General Operations Manual, Policy & Procedures, Company Bulletins, Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Interact and provide quality customer service with partner communication centers.
• Promptly escalate operational, personnel, or customer conflicts or concerns.
• Participate in OCS new hire and partner communication center training as needed.
