About The Position

The Operational Control Center Manager manages the day-to-day responsibilities of the Operational Control Center Specialists with a focus on safety and training. This position is responsible for driving accountability by utilizing key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring policy and procedural adherence, identifying coaching and development opportunities, facilitate ongoing training and performance management, scheduling, staffing and ensuring safe in-flight communication and operations. This position is also required to assist in making sound operational decisions that affect daily operations.

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license, have access to an automobile in good repair, be able to provide proof of auto insurance, meet LFN’s Driver’s Policy requirements and able to travel whenever and wherever business needs necessitate
  • Exemplary customer service skills with an emphasis on quality and safety
  • Thorough knowledge of Part 135 regulations
  • Thorough knowledge of all regulations as it pertains to Operational Control Centers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent grammar, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization, develop and maintain working relationships
  • Must be solution oriented and able to successfully manage and adapt to varying business climates expeditiously
  • Experience with CAD systems and knowledge of two-way radio systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business or a related field preferred. May substitute direct years of experience in similar position for educational years.
  • Pilots License current or previous preferred
  • Four years Managerial experience in Aviation or EMS related field strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure productivity standards are adhered to and make recommendations on employee performance
  • Measure accuracy performance, as well as ensure all annual training is complete
  • Interpret and communicate departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain schedule and staffing requirements
  • Ongoing training and performance management
  • Recommend equipment, training and other needs
  • Recommend performance improvements
  • Monitor time and attendance
  • Create and communicate the schedule in a timely manner
  • Ensures consistent and effective use of two-way radio communication and assure radios are in proper working order.
  • Promote a cooperative working environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
