About The Position

Metropolis is seeking an Operational Compliance Auditor to add value and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The ideal candidate possesses thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and sound judgment, as you will review control processes to ensure the reliability of information, compliance with regulations, and the safeguarding of assets. In this role, you will act as an independent partner to operations management, interacting with various levels of leadership to provide timely recommendations and navigate difficult conversations regarding findings to ensure the achievement of our operational and financial goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Proven working experience as a Senior Operations Manager, or equivalent experience
  • Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
  • Proficient in common office software, such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data to compile detailed reports
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Act as an objective source of independent advice to ensure validity and goal achievement
  • Identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
  • Maintain open communication with management
  • Conduct follow up audits to monitor management’s interventions
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding Metropolis's parking equipment, industry rules, regulations, best practices, tools, techniques, and performance standards
  • Obtain, analyze and evaluate accounting documentation, reports, data, flowcharts, etc.
  • Perform location audits at Commercial and Aviation sites using a structured audit format that follows adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Prepare and present reports that reflect observations and recommendations to the Operational Audit Manager, Senior Facility Managers, and Regional Managers
  • Work on special assignments such as consulting services for existing or prospective clients, investigation work involving suspected control breakdowns and fraud, development of department or localized training programs, and other strategic initiatives
  • Travel 25-35% of the time
