About The Position

The Operational Accountant II at Sally Beauty Holdings is responsible for performing accounting duties related to operational, vendor cooperative agreements, and special events processing for BSG USA and BSG Canada. This role involves ensuring compliance with company guidelines and policies while supporting management in various accounting functions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, or 3-5 years in a financial or accounting environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and 10-key typing.
• Experience with Lawson, Oracle, Hyperion, JDA, and BI Software is a plus.
• Ability to pay attention to detail and possess good written and verbal skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and training ability.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a multi-location operation.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review and reconcile standard balance sheet accounts, vendor sponsored programs, and vendor receivable accounts.
• Complete standard month-end close responsibilities, including calculating accruals and maintaining supporting worksheets for vendor agreements.
• Review coop agreements for completeness and compliance prior to processing, and coordinate resolution of incomplete agreements.
• Generate proof of performance/sales reports and calculate vendor reimbursement due.
• Manage major initiatives such as Customer Appreciation Sale and Excess Damage Program.
• Issue coop invoice packages and aging reports to vendors, and conduct collection activities for past due accounts.
• Resolve billing disputes in a timely manner and process payment batches.
• Support corporate and functional personnel, vendors, customers, and external audit personnel as required.
