Working under the supervision of the Recovery Shift Foreman, full time Recovery Utility Operator III’s responsibilities require the ability to perform various duties in an industrial environment and include, but are not limited to the following: Add or mix chemicals and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices. Clean and maintain equipment in a safe and orderly condition. Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing as required. Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment for processing. Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually, in order to ensure conformance to established standards. Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Assist operations personnel as assigned daily. Read Standard Operating Procedures, directions and guidelines to perform duties as assigned. Operate mixing or blending machines and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures as directed. Follow established safety procedures. Perform equipment specific lockouts. Transfer materials, supplies, and products between work areas, using moving equipment and hand tools as needed. All duties performed must follow ADM and OSHA safety regulations , Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Quality Assurance (QA) specifications.
