About The Position

We are seeking a driven and experienced VOS Technician, Continuous Improvement, to join our dynamic team in Pelzer, SC, supporting Vertiv’s rapidly expanding operations. This is a critical leadership role within our manufacturing facility, focused on driving operational excellence, team performance, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for leading and implementing Lean and Lean Six Sigma projects to improve business performance in alignment with key initiatives across the organization. Be part of a highly skilled team of change agents working with all functional areas of the business as well as customers and suppliers. Develop, execute and sustain effective process improvements that drive process and productivity improvements utilizing Lean methodologies.

Requirements

  • Six Sigma / Lean certifications, preferred
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work within a matrix management environment
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand customer / client issues and creatively apply solutions to real-world issues with world-class result
  • Ability to organize and schedule people and tasks; Use goals to guide actions and create detailed action plans; manage multiple projects
  • Execution orientated, with a strong sense of urgency around tangible results
  • Able to demonstrate leadership without formal authority
  • Strong written and oral communication / presentations skills
  • Work well in a team environment, with sound negotiation and issue resolution skills
  • Excellent Facilitation skills
  • Ability to assume a role of authority as necessary; advocate new ideas, even when risk is involved; delegate responsibility and empower teams to make decisions; provide constructive feedback to others

Responsibilities

  • Leads facility VOS communications, education and trainings
  • Implements site analysis including baseline of operations and financial analysis and continuous measurement and improvement.
  • Partner with the local VOS manager to develop and deploy VOS strategy
  • Proven track record of operational execution
