Operating Supervisor, OR Gas Ops - (Damage Prevention) Utility URD Svc
About The Position
Under general supervision of the Section Manager, the Damage Prevention Operating Supervisor, is responsible for managing the timely and thorough completion of locate mark out requests via one call tickets for company gas and electric underground facilities. To prevent damage to the Company's underground infrastructure, the Operator Supervisor educates company personnel, contractor excavators and the public on safe digging practices and the law to call before you dig as per NYS Code Rule 753. Upon damage to the company's underground gas system, the Operating Supervisor will investigate the event, determine the root cause of the damage, and follow up with education for the excavator.The Operating Supervisor oversees company front-line employees, Damage Prevention Technicians (DPTs), as well as contract locators and Damage Prevention Inspection (DPI's) workforces. Through daily supervisor of staff, the Operating Supervisor ensures fieldwork, administrative and emergency activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all Company Work Procedures and Regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
