About The Position

Support the surgical team by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field during operations. Monitor and document patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning and comfort. Help with the postoperative care of patients, including assisting in transferring patients to recovery.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited or approved school of Surgical Technician
Must be able to read, write, understand verbal and written communication

Nice To Haves

CPR or ACLS Certification

Responsibilities

Completing all assigned duties.
Accepting additional assignments willingly; delegating functions according to needs of the unit and staff.
Adapting to change and prioritizing work.
Assisting staff members to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Participates in quality measures as indicated by performance dashboard results.
Assist in the implementation of delegated patient care activities according to the individual’s level of education, training, and demonstration of competency.
Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide care.
Ensure positive response to the patients’, physicians’, and team members’ needs.
Function under supervision of RN.
Assist in preparing room, instruments, and equipment peri-operatively.
Perform in the scrub nurse role.
