Operating Room Technician
About The Position
The incumbent is a member of the healthcare team who is accountable for providing technical and/or supportive services under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse/Supervisor/Clinical Coordinator in the Operating Room. May have access to or be required to distribute drugs, needles or syringes from storage locations, (such as large stock supplies, automated dispensing units and other carts) to/within patient care areas or treatment carts as defined by hospital policy/procedure. Requires on-call with 30 minute response time to include overnight (1830pm-0645am) Weekends (0700-0700 24hr) and Holidays (0700-0700 24hr) as needed must also float to OPSC Wymark as needed. #hellosurgicaltechs
Requirements
- Operating Room Technician in an acute care setting or graduate from an accredited surgical technology program with an externship at Methodist Hospital main Operating Room in lieu of one year experience.
- BLS from AHA
