The NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is a leader in providing outstanding, compassionate, personalized care to pregnant women, newborn babies and their families. Opened on August 2020, the 222,000 square foot facility occupies the top five-and-a-half floors of the NewYork-Presbyterian David H. Koch Center and features: 75 private rooms and well-baby bassinets, 60 private neonatal intensive care isolettes, 16 labor and delivery rooms, five operating rooms, 20 maternal critical assessment and treatment rooms, and 15 ultrasound rooms, which offer state-of-the-art visualization. It is the first facility in New York City to have MRI capabilities and an operating room in its neonatal intensive care unit. This position will be located at the NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns. This is a full-time night position 7PM-7:30AM- 13 shifts per month- Rotating weekends and holidays
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting
- New Graduates: Certification must be obtained within six months of hire. Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six (6) months from date of hire
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of Perioperative Nursing Practice & Patient Care
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as an OR/Surgical Tech
