The Operating Room Tech will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse within the scope of practice in the surgery department.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in healthcare

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the transporing of patients to and from the department.
• Responsible for collaborating with anesthesia staff and preparing operating room suites for procedures.
• Cross-trained to assist in turning over surgical suites, maintaining inventory, sterilizing equipment and providing routine maintenance on anesthesia machines.
