Get to Know Your Team: Hillcrest Hospital South is a full-service 180-bed hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services using state-of-the-art technology in a friendly community setting. The Operating Room Tech will work under the supervision of the Registered Nurse within the scope of practice in the surgery department.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the transporing of patients to and from the department.
Responsible for collaborating with anesthesia staff and preparing operating room suites for procedures.
Cross-trained to assist in turning over surgical suites, maintaining inventory, sterilizing equipment and providing routine maintenance on anesthesia machines.
