Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for an OR Services Leader opening supporting Breast/Plastics/GYN cases. Eligible Nurses will qualify for sign-on & relocation bonuses. Work Schedule: Full-time: Shift Varies. Located in western Fairfax County, IFOH's Operating Room (OR) has 14 OR suites offering a comprehensive range of surgical specialties, including ortho, spine, robotic, retina and bariatrics. We perform over 10,000 surgical cases annually using some of the most advanced technologies such as Stryker Mako Robotic-Assisted Joint Procedures, Globus Excelsius Robotic Spine Navigation Platform, OrthAlign Precision Navigation and Medtronic StealthStation Navigation.

Ensures the effective and efficient functioning of the unit and the achievement of optimal patient outcomes.
Delivers safe, high quality and cost-effective preoperative services.
Demonstrates an integrated approach toward case/patient outcomes.
Identifies strategies for cost-effective and efficient practices without compromising preoperative patient safety or outcomes.
Promotes creative thinking among staff, peers and colleagues to develop new and innovative devices, practices and strategies to advance and improve preoperative nursing services.
Serves as primary liaison, clinical lead and resource for the assigned surgical specialty and/or unit while ensuring unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements and the Joint Commission standards.
Adheres to all Inova Health System's policies and procedures while coaching staff on compliance and consistently identifying clinical and operational variables affecting patient and case outcomes.
Makes clinical decisions based on education and experience while integrating varied patient experiences into clinical decision-making.
Mentors team members in identifying intra-operative outcomes.
Ensures practice improvements by serving as role model, providing direction and providing guidance to others regarding preoperative services and specialty.

Requires a minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience related to the unit's scope.
Strongly prefer experience scrubbing & circulating.
Education: BSN or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associate's Degree, must obtain BSN within 2 years of date of hire.
Must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support with American Heart Association certification required.
Specialty certification required within 1 year of hire or within 1 year of eligibility.
Proficient computer skills are required.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be highly effective at leading a team and fostering a team environment.
