Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) A leading hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join its surgical services team on contract or travel contract. The OR RN plays a critical role in providing safe, high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in the operating room, including pre-op assessment, intra-op monitoring, and post-op recovery. Prepare and maintain the operating room with sterile instruments, surgical equipment, and supplies. Monitor vital signs and patient condition throughout surgery. Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists by anticipating needs and providing instruments and materials. Enforce sterile technique and infection prevention protocols. Accurately document surgical procedures, patient status, and care provided. Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient operations. Adhere to hospital policies, Joint Commission standards, and OSHA requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience. Robotic surgery and orthopedic/neuro surgery experience required. BLS certification (AHA required). ACLS and PALS certifications preferred. Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and communication skills. Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure surgical settings. Position Details: Schedule: 12-hour daytime shifts, 36 hours per week. Competitive pay and benefits package offered.
