About The Position

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Main Operating Room RN delivers safe, high-quality care to surgical patients. This role involves providing intraoperative care by performing circulating and/or scrub duties, including patient positioning, site prep, instrumentation, and sterile technique. The RN will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient, coordinated care throughout procedures. This is a full-time, 40 hours/week day shift position, requiring rotating weekends/holidays and on-call duty. Specialty pay is available for experienced nurses. Saint Francis Hospital, established in 1897, is a Level 1 Trauma Center with 617 beds and serves as a significant teaching hospital, operating as a proud member of Trinity Health Of New England and Trinity Health, one of the nation’s largest multi-institutional Catholic healthcare delivery systems.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• 1 or more years of intraoperative nursing experience, including circulating and scrub experience
• Candidates must be able to function independently in the OR
• This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training through the Periop 101 program

Nice To Haves

• Current BLS/CPR (AHA or Red Cross)
• Familiarity with AORN standards

• Hourly position, included in RN Step Program pay range: $36.15 to $59.95
