About The Position
Position Title: Registered Nurse---72 hours every two weeks. The hours are 10am-6:30pm plus call time. Department: Operating Room Purpose: Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally-competent perioperative care for pediatric through aging adult patients. Key accountabilities include assessments, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care using critical thinking and evidenced-based practice; adherence to the Professional Practice Standards as defined by ANA; and active participation in quality monitoring and performance improvement activities. During procedures, the nurse will function in one of two roles with distinct competencies applied to each role: circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
