About The Position
Center for Special Surgery is an Ambulatory Surgery Center in St. Petersburg, Florida, where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed. The Registered Nurse Operating Room provides nursing care and service during surgical cases. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS, ACLS, or PALS as required by the center
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Experienced in surgical procedures in the following specialties: Orthopedics, sports medicine, spine, pain, podiatry, and now offering outpatient total joint replacement
Responsibilities
- Provides nursing care and service during surgical cases
- Responsible for positioning the patient
- Responsible for prepping the patient
- Responsible for circulating the case
