About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will utilize the nursing process to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical care while adhering to professional nursing standards and hospital policies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing ( BSN preferred )
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent Operating Room experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- BLS certification required
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive perioperative nursing care, including medication administration and patient monitoring
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical documentation from admission through discharge
- Communicate patient assessments, care plans, and changes in condition with the interdisciplinary team
- Perform charge nurse duties and act as a clinical resource for nursing staff
- Utilize computerized nursing and clinical documentation systems effectively
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control, and blood/body fluid exposure policies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
- Coordinate daily operating room activities in collaboration with anesthesia and leadership teams
- Support staff supervision, education, and unit operations
- Manage operating room supplies, equipment, and medication inventory (including Pyxis systems)
- Participate in on-call coverage for off-shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
