About The Position

The Operating Room / Outpatient Surgery Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in patient care within a surgical setting. This position involves preparing the operating room, ensuring cleanliness and organization, and safely transporting patients of all ages. The CNA will work under the supervision of nurses and surgeons to support patient positioning and perform errands between departments.

Requirements

Current (CNA) Certified nursing Assistant. Listed with North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation in good standing.
High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting, preferably with operating room experience, is a plus.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required through American Heart Association or the American Red Cross -Required upon hire.
Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
