The Operating Room (OR) Liaison reports to the OR Liaison Supervisor. Under general supervision, the OR Liaison performs daily activities between the OR and Sterile Processing Department to facilitate efficient case flow to include communication with the OR staff to ensure availability of specific instrument and supply needs and transport of appropriate instruments to the designated cleaning area as needed. This position promotes customer service satisfaction through training, education, and resolution of staff and physicians. Under the direction and supervision of licensed personnel, the Operating Room Assistant assists in providing direct patient care and tasks required for daily unit functions.
