The position involves assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating education for clinical employees which promotes clinical and professional development resulting in improved quality of care for patients and families. The role includes duties associated with clinical practice, professional development, leadership and quality, and evidence-based practice. The candidate will develop and implement an education plan for the assigned unit to proactively support the delivery of safe patient care.

Requirements

• BSN with 3 years of Operating Room experience (4,500 hrs) OR ADN with 5 years’ Operating Room experience (7,500 hrs)
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the single State of Georgia or Multi-State through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
• PALS or PEARS Certification within one year of hire date, as required by department
• CNOR Certification required

• Performs the nursing process across the continuum to deliver age and developmentally appropriate patient-family-centered care.

• Utilizes appropriate documentation tools to record, measure and retrieve healthcare data.
