About The Position
Tends to the health and care of the patient in the operating room. Acts as a circulator on assigned cases while maintaining patient safety through surveillance of all practices in operating suite. MUST HAVE STRONG ORTHOPEDIC AND SPINE EXPERIENCE. Performs tasks like: Planning and administering the nursing care needs and activities on the operative patient; Maintaining aseptic techniques and actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique; and Coordinating the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program
- Current Registered Nurse license by the State of Indiana
- Current Healthcare BLS & ACLS certification (ACLS certification must be obtained within department guidelines)
- Three (3) or more years O.R. nurse experience
- STRONG ORTHOPEDIC AND SPINE EXPERIENCE
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of science degree in nursing (BSN)
- Three (3) or more years O.R. nurse experience
- Certified Nurse of the Operating Room (CNOR)
- Orthopedic, Spine experience
