That means ensuring all transport equipment is available, sterile, and in working order when needed. And we’re excited to get to know you and find out what you’ll bring to this supportive surgical team role. Your Everyday Assist the transporting patients to and from surgery. Ensures all movable equipment is safely stored, supplies are removed from hallways and stored in respective spaces. Report nonfunctional or broken equipment to management. Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels. Identify specific patients accurately and ready patients for transport to surgery. Use appropriate cleaning solutions after each use of equipment Assist the operating team with turnover between cases. Interact with patients, families, visitors, fellow employees to ensure a professional and courteous environment. Attend all required safety training programs and maintain responsibilities related to general safety, department or service safety, and specific job-related hazards. Ability to communicate effectively and to perform simple mathematical calculations with a reasonable degree of accuracy. Perform duties using standard precautions and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience in a related field with six months to one year of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification.
