About The Position

Operating Room Assistant at Providence Portland Medical Center . This posting represents a per diem, on-call, day shift opening with rotating weekends and holidays. Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse. The Perioperative Aide assists in the OR function, by assisting the anesthesia provider, by cleaning and preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, retrieving and decontaminating equipment, stocking general supplies in the operating rooms and work room, processing and maintaining equipment, supplies, instruments, and other related equipment as needed. Requirements

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• 1 year - Clinical experience in an accredited hospital with operating room experience.

Nice To Haves

• Anesthesia experience.

Responsibilities

• Functions as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision and direction of the registered perioperative nurse.
• Assists in the OR function, by assisting the anesthesia provider
