About The Position

Operating Room Assistant at Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center in Tarzana, CA. Position available is full-time and will work 8-hour Evening shifts. Reporting to the Nurse Manager, this position is responsible for assisting the operating room staff members in providing pre- and post-operative care to patients. Specific areas of responsibility include: patient transportation, patient transfer within the operating rooms, holding retractors as assigned, shave preps, and assisting with clerical functions. Requirements

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• California Fire and Life Safety Card - National Organization within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
• 1 year of experience that provided general knowledge of surgical anatomy, physiology and operative procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework/Training: CNA, Instrument tech, Surgery tech or equivalent education/experience.
• 1 year of Operating room experience or evidence of on-the-job training program.
• 1 year of Experience as nurse aide or transporter.
• 1 year of Experience with Operating Room instrumentation and equipment.
