About The Position
At Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital we perform procedures including General/vascular, Orthopedics, Urology, GYN and ophthalmology. Our 8 operating rooms, freshly renovated in May 2020, include new system integration for more efficient flow during surgery. As an Orthopedic Center of Excellence we provide an array of orthopedic procedures including same day discharge procedures for total joints. As an Operating Room Assistant, you will function as a member of the surgical team under the direct supervision of a Registered Peri-Operative Nurse. You will be responsible for assisting in general department cleaning, running errands, relaying messages, case cart preparation, and assisting with room turnover. Surgical Services embraces a collaborative approach for treating a patient's injury or illness. Care is delivered by our skilled clinical team and integrated ancillary support team; which provides all levels of clinical assistance maintaining a high quality care and patient safety. The Surgical Services arena encompasses Orthopedics, General & Vascular, Gynecology, Podiatry, Urology, and Ophthalmology surgical procedures. The Day Surgery department is an outpatient surgical unit that provides care before and after surgery, heart catherization procedures, radiology procedures, and GI procedures. Although the majority of patients are discharged the day of their procedure, some are admitted to critical or acute care units. ProHealth Oconomowoc Memorial is certified by The Joint Commission as a Joint Replacement Center of Excellence. Offers the MAKOplasty and Anterior Hip Arthroplasty procedure to patients. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
