About The Position

Join our esteemed team at Riley Hospital for Children, boasting 16 cutting-edge operating rooms (ORs) catering to a diverse array of specialties such as General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgery. We are on the lookout for passionate individuals who are committed to excellence in patient care, to become part of our collaborative workforce at one of Indiana's premier Level I pediatric trauma hospitals. This position is a part time role working weekends only. ORAs support the surgical team before, during and after surgery. Assists with operating room preparation by cleaning, procuring equipment and opening sterile supplies. Provides transportation and needed assistance with patient care. Assists Surgical Techs and Nurses with various assigned duties. Works as a member of the surgical team with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, surgical technologists and other surgical personnel.

Requirements

Requires a High School Diploma/GED.
AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required.
Requires strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field.
Requires physical stamina and proper lifting techniques.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a hospital environment preferred.
