About The Position

The position provides technical support services within a surgical team, assisting with patient care, transporting patients, and maintaining a clean and safe environment in surgical areas. The role is crucial in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality patient care in a healthcare setting.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience functioning calmly in a pressure situation.
• Experience working with little supervision.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• 6 months patient care experience.
• Operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs indirect patient care duties.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment in patient care and support surgical areas.
• Performs direct patient care duties.
• Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials.
• Adapts to rapid day-to-day changes in the department/unit.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as required.
