About The Position

ChristianaCare is looking for a full-time operating Room Assistant II to manage and distribute disposable supplies to support the Operating Rooms and ancillary locations. Duties and Responsibilities: Fills Case bins / carts with product delivered Places orders using RFID system and Workday handheld Verifies stock levels using RFID system and clean rooms audits Confirms stocking levels of feeding tube supplies for upcoming cases Uses applicable reports to evaluate causes of material when they occur Responds to all emails and Voceras sent by Clinical Staff in department they are assigned Restocks and rotates, stock and non-stock supplies, while checking for damaged and expired products Notifies the inventory clerk or inventory coordinator of any supply shortages or usage increases Inventories and replenishes assigned stock and non-stock par locations in IR Lab, Soft goods, O.R., and ancillary locations Answers incoming phone calls in a courteous manner and provides assistance to O.R. staff Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports any unsafe activity, hazards, conditions or violations to supervisor or administrator in a timely manner Visually checks products to verify information and condition of product. Information includes: catalog numbers, expiration dates, sterility, and description. Hours: Day Shift Monday - Friday 7a to 3:30p

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum three years of relevant work experience in Materials Management and/or Supply Chain. Equivalent amount of applicable Clinical experience will be considered, though ideal candidate will have some Materials Management experience
  • Ability to serve customers and maintain a high level of satisfaction
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products including Excel
  • Skill in oral and written communications like emails and Vocera
  • Ability to do basic numerical calculations
  • Ability to work with little supervision
  • Ability to communicate effectively in situations with a wide range of stress level.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and software used in Surgical Materials.
