About The Position
The Operating Room Assistant I is responsible for ensuring excellent patient care, maintaining safety standards, and providing medical assistance in the operating room. This role promotes a philosophy of patient/family focused care through cordial greeting and interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel. The assistant provides hospital/unit orientation information for guests, patients, and families, demonstrates an awareness of hospital systems and procedures, and refers patients and families to appropriate resources. The position requires independent transportation and assistance in the transfer of patients, ensuring safety and support measures during patient transfer, and being aware of special precautions in transferring patients with specific needs.
