The O.R. Patient Care Technician performs various duties and assists in the care of patients as assigned by the Nursing director, Patient Care Manager, Assistant Patient Care Manager, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse and OR Technician. The ORPCT promotes public relation for the unit, nursing division, and the medical center. Must communicate effectively within the organization. Responsible for all behavior of ORPCT job description and duties as assigned. Projects a positive attitude to patients, staff, visitors, and students. Incumbents are subject to overtime and call-back as required by hospital.

Assist in the care of patients as assigned by nursing staff.
Promote public relations for the unit and medical center.
Communicate effectively within the organization.

Perform duties as assigned in accordance with the job description.

Minimum age requirement: 18 years of age or older.
Education: Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics as acquired through official completion of high school or its equivalent.
Experience: Knowledge of patient care technician practices related to patient care activities and hospital policies and procedures acquired through on-the-job training.
Knowledge of basic non-technical skills acquired through on-the-job training.
