The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting with patient care activities under the supervision of a registered nurse. The employee transports, lifts, positions patients, provides cleaning of rooms between cases, restocks and maintains sufficient supplies for daily use. The Nursing Assistant demonstrates being an engaged employee by carrying out written and oral instructions with minimal direction. Seeks to support and actively participate in maintaining a safe environment. Active participant in the team concept by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job when workload requires and as directed. Heavy lifting required. Individual must demonstrate initiative, excellent communication skills, and attention to details. Works well with others and requires minimal supervision.
