Join JLL as the sole Operating Engineer for our financial client's Class-A facility! In this role, you'll have complete ownership of all building operations and equipment, serve as the master of cutting-edge HVAC and building automation systems, build lasting relationships with prestigious tenants while representing JLL's commitment to operational excellence, and take pride in being the technical expert who ensures seamless day-to-day operations in this premier commercial destination that will become your professional legacy. Check out some of what you'll do: Comprehensive Building Systems Management : Perform maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to maintain facility and building systems at applicable standards while ensuring HVAC and associated equipment operate at optimum performance levels. Preventative Maintenance & Operations : Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, and general maintenance while recording readings and making necessary adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation. Equipment Care & Optimization : Maintain property equipment condition through cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts, plus perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory to support ongoing operations. Problem Analysis & Resolution : Review monthly client service request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems while monitoring the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors. Vendor & Supply Chain Management : Evaluate vendors and suppliers regularly for quality and competitive pricing, verify accuracy of deliveries for count, pricing, and description, and oversee contracted maintenance relationships. Safety & Compliance : Comply with departmental policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials while maintaining a clean and safe workplace environment.

  • 3+ years of building engineering experience specifically in Class-A office facilities with demonstrated expertise in maintaining premium commercial properties and their complex building systems.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems including Chillers, Rooftop Units, and CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) units, with proven ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize these critical systems for optimal performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as the professional face of JLL, building positive relationships with clients, tenants, and stakeholders while representing the company's commitment to service excellence.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with demonstrated ability to provide consistent follow-through on commitments, maintain clear communication throughout project completion, and deliver reliable support that exceeds client expectations.
