What this job involves: Join JLL's facilities team as an Operating Engineer where you'll play a critical role in maintaining optimal building performance and tenant satisfaction. This position combines technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving to ensure our clients' facilities operate at peak efficiency. You'll be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of complex building systems while contributing to JLL's commitment to delivering exceptional real estate services. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge building technologies while developing multi-craft skills in a collaborative environment that values safety, quality, and continuous improvement. What your day-to-day will look like: Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across all building systems with focus on technical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC, Piping/Plumbing, or Central Utility Plant Operations) Perform preventative maintenance, monitoring, and repairs to Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems to maintain applicable standards Clean, inspect, calibrate, and replace parts on HVAC systems and associated equipment to ensure optimum performance levels Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper operation while maintaining accurate documentation Review monthly client service request summaries to identify and correct recurrent operational problems Monitor quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors and evaluate vendors for competitive pricing Comply with departmental safety policies for hazardous materials storage, usage, and disposal while maintaining a clean and safe workplace
