What this job involves: As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of building systems while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. You'll perform hands-on maintenance and repairs across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and life safety systems while providing exceptional customer service to building occupants.

  • Safely operate and maintain facility systems in accordance with government and regulatory requirements
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems
  • Monitor equipment performance, record readings, and make adjustments to ensure optimal operation
  • Respond to customer service requests and emergency situations in a timely, professional manner
  • Conduct safety inspections, identify hazards, and enforce safety protocols throughout the facility
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and monitor work quality and pricing
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with incident investigations as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical trade OR HVAC/refrigeration trade, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid U.S. driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to work with proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Physical ability to perform frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and overhead work
  • Universal Technician Certification for CFCs (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Experience with computer-controlled building automation systems
  • Knowledge of thermodynamic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Trade school education in HVAC, electrical, or related field
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
