About The Position

As part of the 50 Hz Gas Turbine Systems organization, the Operability Leader role will be accountable for Operability Solutions for Gas Turbines, as part of a total plant system. This includes optimizing gas turbine operability, performance, operational and start-up flexibility, emissions, and hardware durability. As a critical member of the Systems Engineering staff, he/she/they will apply expertise and collaborative leadership skills in supporting the technical details and inputs around GE’s ability to meet operability commitments working with the Platform Leader.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Engineering
At least 8 years of relevant engineering experience

Responsibilities

Work with the commercial teams to define, develop and promote technical product offerings which expand Gas Turbine Operational Flexibility Quoting Limits.
Develop and maintain the Gas Turbine Operational Flexibility technical blueprint for installed-base and new unit gas turbines.
Lead large cross-functional engineering teams to establish technical requirements to meet product CTQs, co-authoring Product Requirements Documents.
Execute the Gas Turbine Operability NPI development plan.
Meet program schedules, technical milestones and budget requirements.
Author quoting limit documents.
Support the Applications teams during the bid and proposal process, validate current product quoting limits and identify future technology development needs.
Work with the Customer Service organizations to support and/or lead field issue resolution for gas turbine operability challenges.
Proactively manage the interactions and impact of gas turbine hardware design changes on gas turbine operability.
Develop and lead the implementation of software or hardware corrective actions when required.
Provide the appropriate level of communication with management on project progress, accomplishments and issues.
Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved.
