About The Position

Design reusable assets, components, standards, frameworks, and processes to support and facilitate microservices and event driven integrations Engineer new capabilities to the OpenShift Platform, and deliver those capabilities in a fully automated and supportable fashion Maintain the security, stability, and performance of the OpenShift Container platforms Researching and implementing ways to automate Understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available Work with virtual / in-person teams, and work under pressure / to a deadline Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience Best practices knowledge around building a supportable repeatable k8s cluster with deployed applications Strong understanding of network and container/Linux security related to k8s

Requirements

  • Best practices knowledge around building a supportable repeatable k8s cluster with deployed applications
  • Strong understanding of network and container/Linux security related to k8s
  • 3 + years of experience in developing infrastructure as code using Terraform
  • 3 + years of working with Splunk and dashboard creation
  • 3+ years of working in an agile environment (Jira, Confluence)
  • 3+ years' experience of working with RedHat Linux RHEL 6/7/8, Kubernetes observability / logging - Grafana, Prometheus
  • 3+ years working with CI/CD application deployment experience.
  • 3+ years of experience upgrading and patching a k8s cluster and applications in the cluster
  • 5+ years of experience in OpenShift
  • 3 + years of Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift)
  • 3 + years working with Ansible Playbook and Ansible Tower
  • Dark site k8s experience / knowledge
  • Familiar with technical support tracks and research in RedHat/IBM
  • Self-motivated and pro-active person
