About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an OpenShift Platform Engineer in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud-native technologies, focusing on designing, deploying, and maintaining robust OpenShift environments. The OpenShift Platform Engineer will manage container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable platforms. You will collaborate closely with development and operations teams to implement GitOps workflows, observability solutions, and cloud infrastructure best practices. This is a fully remote, high-impact position where your expertise will directly support enterprise-level applications and accelerate technological innovation across projects. Requirements

  • 3–5 years of real-time experience in OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton), Operators, and OpenShift Service Mesh.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, GitOps practices (ArgoCD), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Strong Linux administration, networking, and storage knowledge.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise OpenShift clusters, leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Operators.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using OpenShift Pipelines (Tekton) and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD.
  • Ensure platform security, monitoring, and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenShift Security tools.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Manage networking, storage, and cloud resources on platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues while maintaining high availability and operational standards.
