About The Position

The openMCT Computer Scientist will program software and follow systems engineering tasks, within a working group. You will identify potential risks, adhere to technical guidance, foster collaboration, properly comment out code & headers, and meet scheduled goals.

Requirements

• Strong Docker and Linux skills
• Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for front-end development
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern web development practices
• Experience with Angular JS (1.x) and/or other component-based frameworks
• Experience with plugin-based architecture and modular software design
• Ability to learn time -series/telemetry data and build data visualizations
• Debugging skills using browser developer tools and testing frameworks
• Knowledge with Git and open-source collaboration workflows
• Ability to write clear documentation and communicate effectively in a team environment
• A bachelor's degree in an associated discipline is required for this position.
• Knowledge of computer-based systems and applications
• Programming skills in languages used for job-specific programming tasks
• Familiarity with systems engineering and software development lifecycles
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• The incumbent must possess a valid, state issued driver's license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
