About The Position

As a bar staff member, you will be responsible for maintaining bar supplies efficiently, including the preparation of daily requisitions as necessary. You must be completely familiar with all the different kinds of liquor, recipes, and prices of drinks, as well as the proper glassware used for each recipe and the garnishes needed. You will also need to know drink recipes, prices, and the types of beverages available. Familiarity with accurate cash handling procedures is essential, including proper discounting, the MICROS system (or registers), bank procedures, and tip policies. You will be responsible for accurately charging guests for drinks and ensuring the accurate intake of all monies. Anticipating guest needs, responding promptly, and acknowledging all guests while maintaining positive guest relations at all times is crucial. You will also need to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction in each interaction. Additionally, you will be required to be formally trained regarding liquor liability within 30 days of employment and every two years thereafter.
