The Salem YMCA is seeking certified lifeguards to join our aquatics team during our morning hours — the perfect role for college students, retirees, or anyone who loves starting the day early with meaning and purpose. 🛟 In this role, you’ll: Help open our pool and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for members. Provide lifeguard coverage for early morning swimmers and classes. Opportunity to teach swim lessons and share your love of the water. Requirements
- Current Lifeguard Certification (or willingness to get certified — we can help!)
- Dependable, early-morning work ethic
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A passion for water safety and community
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:45 am to 9 am
Nice To Haves
- YUSA swim instructor/lifeguard certified preferred, but not required; training may be provided to the right candidate.
