About The Position

The Department of Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is pleased to announce a new recruitment for an additional academic surgical pathologist and/or cytopathologist. We are inviting applications from qualified candidates at all ranks for a full-time tenure earning/tenured position through the Department of Pathology School of Medicine.

Requirements

• The candidates should have an M.D. (or M.D., Ph.D.)
• Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology
• Be eligible for license to practice medicine in Alabama.

Nice To Haves

• The successful candidate should have a national reputation in academic pathology and a track record of a competitive basic, translational, and/or clinically focused research program.
• Subspecialty expertise will be favorably considered.
