The Department of Pediatrics (DOP) and the Precision Medicine Institute (PMI) are seeking a visionary and collaborative leader to serve as Director of Genetic Counselor (GC) Practice Development. The Director will provide department-wide leadership, playing a pivotal role in advancing clinical practice, championing faculty well-being, and leading initiatives to optimize the GC care model across diverse pediatric subspecialties. This position serves two distinct roles related to GCs in the Department: 1) to support the clinical activities of all GCs in the department (both those clinically based in the Section of Genetics and Metabolism and those working primarily in other sections); and 2) work with PMI and Department leadership to support strategic initiatives impacting the GC workforce. The Director will seek to foster excellence, equity, and professional growth for genetic counselors through collaborations with clinical, operational, and academic leaders across the Department and Children's Hospital Colorado system, addressing the unique needs of various GC care models and roles.
