About The Position

The Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia seeks applicants for an open-rank faculty position for its Neuro-Oncology program. Rank and tenure status are commensurate with training and experience. We have a multidisciplinary, highly integrated program focusing on brain and spinal cord tumors that involves medical and surgical neuro-oncologists, neuropsychologists, radiation specialists, neuropathologists, and neuroradiologists. In addition to providing state of the art treatment, when appropriate we offer clinical trials for malignant or refractory brain tumors. The University of Virginia and affiliated UVAHealth form the premier institution for medical research and clinical care in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The faculty member will be welcomed into the highly collaborative environment of the University of Virginia and have ready access to several research-oriented schools and centers across the University of Virginia grounds, which provide a rich platform for shared discovery. Requirements

• Candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, DO or other equivalent terminal degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible at the time of hire.
• Specialized fellowship training in a related field is strongly preferred.
