About The Position

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Preventive Medicine-trained physicians to join our expanding outpatient faculty group in Albuquerque, NM. UNM HSC is the only academic medical center and the primary teaching hospital in New Mexico, providing care for over 200,000 patients annually and serving as the state's only Level I trauma center. This position focuses on providing high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a dedicated patient panel while also supervising Internal Medicine residents during their continuity clinic experience. Our community clinics are Level III NCQA-recognized Patient-Centered Medical Homes, offering comprehensive primary care with integrated clinical pharmacists, behavioral health support, and care management teams. In addition to clinical duties, candidates will have dedicated time for medical student education and opportunities for advancement in leadership across academic and administrative roles.

Requirements

  • MD or DO.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Internal Medicine or Preventative Medicine by date of hire.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based primary care to a dedicated patient panel.
