About The Position
The laboratory of Drs. Alan Faden and Bogdan Stoica at University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Laboratory Research Assistant to work in research focused on brain injury, neuroinflammation and dementia. The successful candidate will work independently and within the team to perform bench research and analysis, and maintain accurate data records. This position requires knowledge of the concepts, practices, and procedures of laboratory research. A strong foundation in biological science is required. A background in neuroscience, molecular/cell biology, and/or pharmacology is desired. Candidates must have hands-on laboratory experience. Experience with biochemistry techniques, microscopy and/or animal research is essential. This position will be filled either by a Research Assistant, Laboratory or a Research Specialist Laboratory based upon the selected candidates qualifications, experience, and skill level.
