About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Community Practice, is excited to announce an opening for a full-time Instructor or above to join our new community practice located in Highlands Ranch. We are seeking a skilled generalist to provide comprehensive clinical care in both obstetrics and gynecology, including inpatient and outpatient services, as well as surgery. As a member of the CU Medicine South Metro practice, you will collaborate with a team of providers, sharing service coverage- including night and weekend call at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital. While the position is primarily clinical, there are opportunities to contribute to the education of medical residents and students, supporting the next generation of clinicians. Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Active or unrestricted Colorado medical license
  • Current BLS certifications
  • 5 years of clinical experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Senior Instructor)

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of clinical OBGYN experience post-residency (Instructor)
  • Experience in high volume/ high-risk obstetrics (Instructor)
  • Seven (7) years of clinical OBGYN experience post-residency (Senior Instructor)
  • Experience in clinical education (Senior Instructor)
  • Labor management, including knowledge of normal and high-risk labor progression
  • Proficiency in fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation
  • Knowledge of gynecologic evaluation and management
  • Experience with contraception counseling and procedures, including LARC placement and removal
  • Ability to perform routine gynecologic surgeries
  • Clear, effective communication and clinical documentation
  • Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and a patient-centered approach to care across diverse populations

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in obstetrics and gynecology, including outpatient visits, inpatient care, and surgical procedures.
  • Participate in call coverage, including nights and weekends
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and coordinated care across the practice
  • Supervise and teach medical students in both clinical and procedural settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
  • Contribute to community outreach and patient education efforts
