About The Position

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the University of Miami (Coral Gables, FL) invites nominations and applications for three open-rank, tenure-track faculty positions as part of a bold growth trajectory that will significantly expand the department’s impact and visibility. This search represents the first phase of a multi-phase hiring plan to be executed over the next three to four years. While applications are welcome at all ranks, the department is particularly interested in early and mid-career faculty who are ready to accelerate UM ECE’s growth with established research programs. We seek exceptional scholars in the following strategic thrust areas: AI-Powered Microchips and Systems, Robotics and Autonomous Systems, Quantum and Nano Technologies, and Cybersecurity and Cyber Physical Systems.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related engineering disciplines.
• Strong record of research excellence.
• Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
• Collaborative spirit that embraces interdisciplinary work.
