About The Position

The Department of Kinesiology and Public Health (KPH) is now accepting applications for an open rank faculty position for the B.S. in Kinesiology program to begin in August 2026.

Requirements

  • Hold an earned academic doctoral degree. A doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
  • At minimum, hold a Doctoral degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Biomechanics, Public Health, or a similar area.
  • Maintain current certification/licensure in the area of expertise.
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist® (CSCS) through NSCA is highly desired.
  • Articulate leadership experience that effectively inspires others and balances energy focused on current needs and future growth.
  • Display commitment to high-quality instruction in an in-person or online student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in Kinesiology on a variety of subjects in the traditional undergraduate program, academic advising, and mentorship of students in their faith and future careers.
  • Possibly provide instruction in the Public Health program that is aligned with expertise.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, accountability, and initiative, along with a strong Christian commitment and interest in the integration of faith with learning.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the department (e.g., department chair, DPT development lead).
  • Participate in course, curriculum, and program development, including contributing to the pursuit of program accreditation and strategic planning for graduate-level program growth.
  • Work collaboratively with diverse colleagues, students, and community members.
  • Participate in campus, university, and community service activities.
  • Participate in student recruitment and retention activities.
