Open-Rank Faculty Position in Electrical and Computer Engineering
About The Position
Boise State University's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or full Professor. Through the newly established Institute for Microelectronics Education and Research , faculty will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders across all areas of microelectronics. Our strong partnership with Micron Technology's R&D facilities in Boise, Idaho, and a future $15B manufacturing facility will open doors to unparalleled research and manufacturing engagement. The ideal candidate will specialize in integrated circuit design , supporting the development of an IC design center for research and education. Experience with chip design, validation, and tapeout using foundry nodes is crucial, and familiarity with design automation is a plus. Applications for these circuits could span many areas, including advanced memory, cybersecurity, novel computing architectures, image sensors, RFIC, biomedical engineering, and beyond.
